Zemivora is an independent publication. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any TV manufacturer or streaming service mentioned in its guides.

What data we collect — and what we don't

Zemivora does not require an account and has no login. The pages you read are static files; reading them does not create a profile of you on our side.

There are no forms that store your data on our servers. If you contact us by email, we receive only what you choose to send, and we use it solely to answer you.

Hosting and server logs

Like virtually every website, the server that delivers Zemivora keeps standard access logs. These typically include your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, your browser's user-agent string, and the referring page.

These logs exist for security, abuse prevention, and technical troubleshooting. They are retained by our hosting provider for a limited period and are not used to identify or profile individual readers.

Advertising (Google AdSense) — when it is enabled

Zemivora has applied to Google AdSense, but ads are not yet active; approval is pending. Until ads are enabled, this site sets no advertising cookies or identifiers.

Once AdSense is active, Google and its partners may use cookies and similar identifiers to serve ads, measure their performance, and — where you have consented — personalize ads based on your visits to this and other websites. In regions that require it (such as the EEA and the UK), a consent banner will let you accept or refuse personalized advertising before those cookies are set.

Analytics

Zemivora uses Google Tag Manager (a container that loads our measurement tools) together with Google Analytics 4 — but only if you allow analytics in the cookie banner. We use Google Consent Mode v2, which starts with every consent signal denied before anything loads, so no analytics cookies are written and your visits are not linked together unless you say yes.

If you do allow it, we use Analytics for one purpose: to see which guides get used and which fall short, so we can improve them. We do not sell this data, we do not build advertising profiles from it, and we do not try to identify you. Google processes it as our provider; Google describes its own handling at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Being straight with you: even when you refuse, your browser still downloads the Tag Manager script from Google's servers, so Google receives your IP address as part of that request — the same as with any file loaded from a third party. What does not happen is cookies being written or your browsing being tracked across visits.

Your rights (GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, the GDPR gives you the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, plus the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to request its deletion, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. Zemivora does not sell personal information.

Because this site keeps almost no personal data, most requests will simply confirm that we hold nothing about you beyond, at most, an email you sent us. To exercise any right, write to [email protected].

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the site changes — for example, when AdSense is approved or an analytics tool is added. The date at the top reflects the latest revision, and significant changes will be published here before they take effect.
